The Granary Farm Shop is situated in the barn and will catch your eye as soon as you walk in! The shop has grown in size over the last 10 years and now boasts a feature deli counter selling fresh meat, a great selection of cheese and a decadent array of mouthwatering cakes. As with each outlet at Crag House Farm all the profits from the shop go towards the work of Caring For Life. The shop’s major focus is to champion small suppliers, many of them local. Wherever possible we strive to stock items you won’t find on the high street or in supermarkets, providing the customer with the chance to support local food and artisan type products.
ALL IN THIS TOGETHER
During this current crisis, we are keen to help in any we can. We are doing all we can to help reduce the potential for transmitting this awful disease spreading throughout our nation.
Our Farm Shop is the only outlet that is currently open for essential shopping trips for those in the community. We have available, a good stock of food supplies that are crucial at this time. We also have in place a CLICK & COLLECT service, where you order your goods and pay online. We can then prepare your food items for collection. Our staff will be happy to assist you with any shop products available.
We will be managing how many people are allowed in the shop any one given time with social distancing measures in place and we are closing our shop an hour earlier than usual to give our staff time to thoroughly clean all public areas.
Farm Shop open from 9am - 4pm Mon to Sat
(Our Granary Restaurant, Cafe and Grounds are closed until further notice.)
Please continue to check back regularly for updates!
News From the Shop
Out with the old and in with the new!
As we turn the corner into 2020, here in the shop, like you at home, we are looking forward to what this year has in store.
We will still be stocking many items that you know and love, but we will be also taking delivery of many new products, including homeware from Sophie Allport, Emma Ball and Ulster Weavers.
A new jewellery range, soap and candle range from Sheffield based Agnes and Cat, will be arriving early in the New Year.
Make 2020 the year you try your best to buy locally produced products, like our amazing beef. At Crag House Farm we sell beef, from our own stock of Longhorn cattle, one of the oldest pure breeds of English cattle. World Famous chef Heston Blumethal says ‘The Longhorn has it all, from the nutty, grassy, blue cheese note plus a marvellous moisture and juiciness alongside a firm but giving texture’ (Sunday Times).
The beef is also hung, giving you the optimum flavour and tenderness that you might not get in the supermarket. Steve, our butcher, also makes all our sausages and burgers. If you want to support small businesses in your community, we feature a wide range of local food and cheeses.
The Farm Shop is full of items and gifts to suit every budget.
